Who We Are

We are young people that came together from the winter of Idle No More. We are Indigenous youth from various nations and our roots come from various territories. We saw the importance of a national Indigenous youth voice and platform. We believe that the assembly and unity of youth from across Turtle Island will not only contribute to our own success and healing of today but also that of our next seven generations.

We have been actively working as A7G since 2014. We incorporated as a national non-profit organization in 2015. Our work continues to expand as our networks and capacity grow with the needs and aspiration of Indigenous youth.

Our Helpers

During the COVID 19 Pandemic, we transitioned to include more helpers to support in our work.  Our helpers have been committed to supporting A7G. The helpers recently met to define our helper role to help the public understand how we operate as A7G. Here is how they defined the role:

A helper assists in the operations of A7G. They take on specific roles and responsibilities that support projects and initiatives as well as benefiting the organization as a whole. They have made a commitment to support through a grassroots way of being. Helpers are determined by other helpers within our team based on their initiative and involvement with A7G.
